Force to reckon with
Voicing out her opinion and expertise on the development of COVID-19 vaccines and monoclonal antibody therapy throughout 2021, Dr Gagandeep Kang has been at the forefront in tackling the pandemic. An elected Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Microbiology, she became the first Indian woman to be inducted as a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS) in London by joining the likes of Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin to be elected to the almost 360-year-old scientific body.
