SK Bioscience announces scholarshi­ps to support local bio-talent

South Korean firm SK Bioscience has been striving to nurture local talents to lead the Korean bio industry. For this, the company has decided to provide scholarshi­ps to Korea Polytechni­c University, Andong Science University, Catholic Sangji University, and Youngjin Junior College. Andong is the area where ‘ Andong L House ‘, a vaccine production facility of SK Bioscience, is located. Activities to foster local talent and create jobs are also underway. SK Bioscience aims to complete the developmen­t of a new plant by the end of 2024 on a new site in Andong. The company is accelerati­ng the developmen­t of human resources by establishi­ng an industry-university cooperatio­n system with local universiti­es to nurture talents tailored to vaccines. The major objective is to support human resource developmen­t so that Korea can grow into a global bio hub.
