SJVN col­lab­o­rates with HelpAge In­dia

Hi­machal Pradesh (HP) based Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) has en­tered into a Mem­o­ran­dum of Un­der­stand­ing (MoU) with HelpAge In­dia for health camps in dif­fer­ent states. SJVN is joint ven­ture, with the HP gov­ern­ment also hav­ing eq­uity share in the Cen­tral Pub­lic

Sec­tor Unit. As per the MOU, fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance of Rs 32 lakh will be pro­vided for con­duct­ing 20 health camps in the states of HP, Ut­tarak­hand, Bi­har and Ma­ha­rash­tra. The camps are be­ing or­gan­ised in the ar­eas of Oph­thal­mol­ogy, gy­nae­col­ogy, den­tal, ENT, gen­eral health etc. Dur­ing the camps health aware­ness lec­tures will also be de­liv­ered by health ex­perts.

In the area of health, SJVN is op­er­at­ing 14 mo­bile health vans in the states of HP, Ut­trak­hand,

Bi­har and Ma­ha­rash­tra which have ben­e­fit­ted more than 5 lakh pa­tients. Be­sides 150 health camps have been or­gan­ised ben­e­fit­ting around over 50,000


Also, projects for dis­able sec­tion of so­ci­ety like fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance to In­dian As­so­ci­a­tion of Mus­cu­lar Dys­tro­phy for con­struc­tion on in­te­grated mus­cu­lar dys­tro­phy cen­ter, con­struc­tion of spe­cial school at Dhalli etc. are be­ing im­ple­mented.
