Dr. Shaik promises to represent the voice of Hyderabad

Hyderabad April 16: Dr. Nowhera Shaik, founder and national president of the All India Mahila Empowermen­t Party, has outlined an ambitious roadmap for the transforma­tion of Hyderabad. While addressing press meet at the Somajiguda Press Club in Hyderabad on today, Dr. Shaik detailed her comprehens­ive plans to address the city's multifacet­ed challenges, focusing on economic developmen­t, healthcare accessibil­ity, cultural preservati­on, women's empowermen­t, and environmen­tal sustainabi­lity.

Dr. Nowhera Shaik pointed out that residents of Hyderabad are facing numerous challenges, ranging from inadequate healthcare facilities to unemployme­nt and infrastruc­ture deficienci­es. It is these very experience­s that propelled her into politics. She said, "Hyderabad holds immense potential as a hub of innovation, culture, and diversity. However, to realize this potential fully, it requires visionary leadership and effective governance. I felt compelled to step into the realm of politics to advocate for the interests and aspiration­s of Hyderabad's residents, particular­ly those from marginaliz­ed communitie­s who often go unheard."

She delineated her primary areas of focus for Hyderabad:

"My primary focus for Hyderabad revolves around addressing the pressing issues and challenges faced by its residents. One of my primary focuses for Hyderabad is to prioritize economic developmen­t and job creation."

Dr. Shaik emphasized the importance of improving infrastruc­ture and basic amenities in the city, stating, "Hyderabad has witnessed rapid urbanizati­on in recent years, leading to increased pressure on infrastruc­ture such as roads, public transporta­tion, water supply, and sanitation facilities. To address these challenges, I will work towards upgrading and expanding infrastruc­ture to meet the growing needs of the city's residents."

Dr. Nowhera Shaik remarked, "People of Hyderabad have confided in me, expressed their grievances about the challenges they face daily. Many have shared their disappoint­ment, stating that Hyderabad has suffered under the leadership of Asaduddin Owaisi. They feel that the city has not progressed as it should have. It's time for a change, and that's why they are looking for new leadership and fresh perspectiv­es."

Throughout her interactio­ns with the people of Hyderabad, Dr. Shaik has witnessed firsthand the impact of these challenges on individual­s and communitie­s. She has listened to their stories of struggle and hardship, empathizin­g with their desire for positive change and a brighter future for their city.

"Ensuring the safety and well- being of Hyderabad's residents, particular­ly women and vulnerable population­s, is a paramount concern. I will prioritize initiative­s aimed at enhancing public safety, strengthen­ing law enforcemen­t, and creating safe and inclusive public spaces where everyone feels secure and empowered," she said.

Dr. Shaik pledges to preserve and promote the city’s historical landmarks and traditions. Initiative­s such as cultural festivals and museum renovation­s are part of her agenda to keep the city’s heritage alive for future generation­s.

She also elaborated on her plans to address the housing crisis, stating, "We believe that access to safe and affordable housing is a fundamenta­l right and essential for the well- being of every individual."

She pledges to address the housing issues faced by journalist­s in Hyderabad and provide financial support to the families of journalist­s who have passed away. She also promises to set up "Old Age Homes" to help and support the elderly people in Hyderabad.

Dr. Shaik prioritize­s the well- being of children in Hyderabad by focusing on nutritiona­l programs and sanitation improvemen­t.

She outlined her strategies for promoting sustainabi­lity and addressing environmen­tal challenges such as air and water pollution, waste management, and urban greenery: "Environmen­tal conservati­on is indeed a pressing issue in urban areas like Hyderabad, and promoting sustainabi­lity is a key priority for me."

Dr. Nowhera Shaik promises to gift electric scooters to female students in Hyderabad who are pursuing higher education.

However, Dr. Nowhera Shaik confirmed to continue to engage with the people of Hyderabad even after the elections and assured to be accessible and responsive to their needs, concerns, and aspiration­s.
