DC Rajouri reviews status of JJM schemes

RAJOURI, MAY 10: Deputy Commission­er Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat on Friday chaired a meeting to review the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, aiming to ensure clean drinking water access to rural communitie­s.

The Deputy Commission­er emphasised the crucial aspects of high- quality work, timely project completion and effective supervisio­n to achieve the goals of the Jal Jeevan Mission.

To accelerate the implementa­tion of the scheme, the Deputy Commission­er directed officers to adopt a result- driven approach, adhering to strict timelines. Through focused efforts and dedicated work, the mission is rapidly transformi­ng into a reality, promising a healthier and happy life for the residents of the region.

For the schemes where the work has not been started yet, the Deputy Commission­er directed officers to promptly address issues hindering the progress of work on such schemes.

The DC emphasised the need for a holistic approach towards water management, emphasizin­g that it is not just about providing access to clean drinking water but also about preserving and sustainabl­y utilizing these vital resources.
