Congress is possessed by Aurangzeb's spirit: Yogi Adityanath

-

Amethi, May 12: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday, said that the mention of an inheritance tax in the Congress Party's manifesto is reminiscent of the ' Jizya' tax imposed by Mughal ruler Aurangzeb during his reign. Addressing an election rally in Madhogarh to seek support for BJP candidate and Union Minister Smriti Irani, CM Yogi said that it seemed that the "Congress was possessed by the spirit of Aurangzeb".

Yogi predicted a monumental victory for the BJP in the ongoing elections, emphasizing a tsunami of support for the Modi government. The chant of ' Jo Ram ko laye hain, Hum unko layenge' ( We will bring those who brought Lord Ram) is resonating across the country, he stated. The Chief Minister remarked further that there exists an inextricable bond between Lord Ram and the nation, noting that those opposing Ram are anti- nationals.

He highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi faces opposition only from Pakistan and ' Ramdrohi'.

Addressing the citizens of Amethi, CM Yogi said, "The groundbreaking decision taken in 2019 reverberated not only in Lucknow but also reached Delhi. "

He emphasized that when a decision is righteous, its outcomes align accordingly. He added, "It marked a historic moment when the people of Amethi chose to lead India's development instead of merely adhering to a particular party's ideology. Furthermore, he highlighted the unparalleled dedication shown by Smriti Irani, who, in just five years, surpassed the visitation records of four generations of Congress leaders in

Amethi. As a vigilant public representative, she diligently visited every village in Amethi weekly. CM Yogi expressed, "The resounding chant of ' Abki Baar 400 Paar' resonates across the nation, leaving the Congress and the Indi alliance disoriented. While a party needs 273 seats for a majority, Congress is not even contesting elections on that many seats nationwide."

The Chief Minister emphasized the widespread joy surrounding the presence of Ram Lalla, particularly in the Awadh region, heralding a new era after a hiatus of 500 years. With Lord Shri Ram now enshrined in Ayodhya, CM Yogi urged the people of Amethi to once again vote for the BJP and re- elect Prime Minister Modi, a devout follower of Lord Ram. He credited Modi's leadership for elevating the nation's stature, eradicating terrorism and Naxalism, and spearheading extensive developmental initiatives.

In a scathing critique of the Congress, CM Yogi commented, "Those sympathetic towards Pakistan are welcome to relocate there." He contrasted the dire conditions in Pakistan, where people suffer from hunger, with India's achievements under Prime Minister Modi's decadelong leadership, lifting a population larger than Pakistan's above the poverty line.

He mentioned the distribution of free rations to 80 crore citizens and housing to four crore impoverished people, questioning why Congress failed to accomplish similar feats. CM Yogi accused Rahul Gandhi of attempting to resurrect his grandmother's slogans. He further criticized the opposition, citing concerns about their intentions to undermine the reservation system for SC, ST, and OBC communities, as indicated by the Congress manifesto.
