Arundhati Ghosh was an excellent diplomat

Bureaucracy Today - - Letters To The Editor -

With great sadness I learnt from the Bureaucracy Today website sometime ago that my dear colleague from Geneva days, Arundhati Ghosh, IFS (R), has passed away. She was an excellent diplomat who served her country in an exemplary way. Of course, I had my differences with Arundhati’s position during the 1996 CTBT negotiations in Geneva. This fact, however, never stood in the way of our warm personal relations. A mere two years ago we both participated in a CTBT panel discussion in Vienna, Austria. We met after so many years as the same dear old friends. I will remember Arundhati as a warm human being. Jaap Ramaker, Chairperson of the 1996 CTBT Negotiations in Geneva
