Abrand, lcis Sports, a cut­ting-edge In­dian per­for­mance wear un­veiled its first store in Kar­nataka. The store houses the Al­cis Sports’ range span­ning not only ath­leisure range but spe­cific cloth­ing for run­ning, train­ing, yoga, foot­ball, cricket and rac­quet sports. “Al­cis Sports is a home­grown af­ford­able In­dian sportswear brand which is at par with in­ter­na­tional brands in terms of qual­ity and also in sync with In­dian sen­si­bil­i­ties. We are happy to open our ex­clu­sive brand store at Bengaluru which is known for its vi­brancy and en­ergy, and we firmly be­lieve peo­ple of Bengaluru will love our wide range,” said Roshan Baid, MD, Al­cis Sports at the store launch.

Ba­tra, Pres­i­dent, Al­cis Sports said, “En­cour­aged by the re­sponse we have re­ceived from our cus­tomers for our tech­nol­ogy laden sportswear, we de­cided to en­hance our pres­ence in Bengaluru with this first ex­clu­sive brand store in the state of Kar­nataka. This is our step to­wards bring­ing our cus­tomers closer to our brand and giv­ing them an im­mer­sive shop­ping ex­pe­ri­ence. This is our eighth store in the coun­try in the past seven months and we are on track to achiev­ing our stated am­bi­tion of 15 stores by year end.” Speak­ing on his com­pany’s as­so­ci­a­tion with

Al­cis Sports, Su­nil Ku­mar M V K, Pro­pri­etor, Sri En­ter­prises said. “We at Sri En­ter­prises are into re­tail busi­ness with var­i­ous brand fran­chisees and when we came across Al­cis we fell in love at first sight with the prod­ucts and the tech­nol­ogy that is there in them. The beauty of the brand is its wide range cov­er­ing rac­quet sports, cricket, foot­ball, run­ning, ex­er­cis­ing and also yoga wear and is very eco­nom­i­cal. We are very con­fi­dent it will ap­peal to our cus­tomers.”

Al­cis Sports is also the ex­clu­sive rights holder to man­u­fac­ture and dis­trib­ute fan wear mer­chan­dise on be­half of FIFA in In­dia for the on­go­ing 2018 FIFA World Cup Rus­sia, and the new store will fea­ture the range for foot­ball fans of the city.

Al­cis is present at large for­mat stores such as Shop­pers Stop, Life­style, Globus, Cen­tral, Sports Sta­tion, Wal­mart, RS Broth­ers, Sar­vanas, Pothys, JC Broth­ers and M&M and on­line re­tail chan­nels such as Myn­tra, Jabong, Ama­zon, Flip­kart, TataCliQ and Ajio to name a few.

Be­sides, be­ing present in over 350 multi-brand stores across the coun­try Al­cis Sports is ag­gres­sively look­ing to open ex­clu­sive stores through fran­chise across the coun­try. Al­cis plans to open ap­prox­i­mately 15 ex­clu­sive brand stores, cov­er­ing all the ma­jor cities of In­dia within this year. The store at Bengaluru is Al­cis’ eighth ex­clu­sive out­let fol­low­ing its stores at Delhi, Mum­bai, Jaipur, Kochi and Guwahati.

The com­pany has se­cured an in­vest­ment from Sin­ga­pore based Ven­ture Cap­i­tal firm RB In­vest­ments, which has a strong port­fo­lio of star­tups in In­dia, in­clud­ing The Beer Cafe, Swiggy, Blue­stone.com, Fab ho­tels, Faa­sos and PropTiger to name a few. It has also ap­pointed cel­e­brated In­dian crick­eter Shikhar Dhawan as the brand am­bas­sador along with pop­u­lar tele­vi­sion per­son­al­i­ties Lau­ren Got­tlieb and Karan Tacker.
