Think of mechanical motion, the mechanism; it is the wonder of the gear. This rotating machine part having cut teeth, meshing with another toothed part for transmission of torque, has changed the very mechanical concept of making inconceivable things happen. Think about two or more of these rotating machine parts working in tandem, producing a mechanical advantage – you can deem it a machine. Our products are a rage in the domestic and international markets,” says a dynamic Mr. R.S. Gandhi. The journey started in the year 1967 with 3 machines spread over an area of 900 sq.ft. in Punjab. There has been no looking back since then. Expo Industries grew strength by strength and today, its manufacturing unit is spread over an area of 30,000 sq.ft. at Udyog Nagar Industrial Area, Nangloi, New Delhi and the unit accommodating 125 fully automated, CNC machines. Net sales growth witnessed is 10-15% annually. “There is competition in the replacement market but we hold a good position”, says Mr. Gandhi, a B.Com graduate from DU. Mr. Gandhi, who is always keen to learn new things, draws inspiration from his father who is a B.E. Mechanical and who has also trained him in Engineering to perfection.

Expo Industries manufactures Spur and Helical Transmission Gears, Spline Shafts, and gearbox components for Cars, LCVs, Trucks, Tractors, etc. These come with the following specifications: • Gears : Module of 0.4 - 8 range, 20 - 400 mm diameter, 0~40 deg. LH/RH • Shafts : Length up to 750 mm, min/max Spline length of 10~250 mm. The company also customizes Gears and Shafts according to drawings and samples specified by the clients. Hundreds of components have been customized till date, making spare parts forDomestic and International replacement market, suitable for ZF Gear boxes, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault, Mazda, Toyota, , Landrover, Suzuki, Willys Jeep, Nissan, Massey Fergusson, Ford, Mahindra, Tata, and the list goes on. 25% of the products are exported to N.Africa, Europe, Dubai, and the UK. Expo Industries also exhibited its products at an International auto exhibition Automechanicka held at Frankfurt, Germany and Automechanika Dubai. “Our manufacturing unit is equipped with advanced machinery and equipment that are handled by experienced engineers and technicians. The products are constantly upgraded as per the technological changes and R&D activities. We adhere to stringent quality policy at every stage of manufacturing process. Lead, Profile, Concentricity,Parallelism and Axial runouts of every component are checked by experienced quality control engineers,” pronounces Mr. Gandhi. Resources are utilized to the maximum.
