Atriple punch. The Delhibased PRIMA consortium comprising three companies, packs in this and more. Paras Polycab Pvt. Ltd. , Paras Cable Industries and Prima Weldsafe Pvt. Ltd., all combo up to provide real chutzpah in the format of welding Cable, pug cutting machines, gas regulators, a variety of helmets in a galaxy of colours and designs, customized ones with anti-scratch, anti-glare and anti-fog visors as well as a range of fiberglass re-inforced plastic models, belts and harnesses, elastomeric insulated flexible cables, welding hoses and related equipment parapharnelia. This Rs 30 crore average turnover corporate chiquita logged in its presence in 2001 with an initial investment of Rs five to six lakhs. A family run enterprise, positions at its helm are commanded by Subhash Jindal and Krishna Jindal, both directors. Manish Jindal & Ashu Jindal, a filial scion, joined hands in 2006 to continue this forward march. As per the directorial committee “we are ranked number one in terms of quality in the cable industry.” Armed with ISO 9001, IS 14001 and OSHAS 18001 certifications, this no-exports manufacturing joint is buzzing alive with “plans to collaborate with a foreign-based organization for welding cables.” Powered with a workforce strength of about a hundred, this entity has its branches in Kolkata, Nagpur and Delhi, and is well on its way to open a second outlet in the national capital. An in house R&D unit, which conceives and nurtures anything new in the existing product platter, and a selfproclaimed USP of “timely delivery with a fullscap attention to quality,” are the guiding fundamentals here. Networking all over the country via a dealer network, aided and abetted by a marketing arm of ten to twelve personnel, is how the final lineup makes its way onto shop shelves. Launching an electrode holder, and setting sights to conquer the Rs 100 crore ATO threshold within the coming half-decade, is the fuelling motto at PRIMA. Then again, a 95 percent retention of the 250-strong client base is the unflailing achievement of the Jindal’s who give “top priority to relationship and trust building exercises with our end users.”
