Study Hard, Do Well
I mparting education, as is touted universally, is one of the noblest deeds done by mankind. For many of us, some already ensconced within our professional peripheries, some on the verge of a take-off point within our career odysseys, at least one or two teachers of our formative years of life are role models or ideal personalities who inspire us to quantify our dreams. Continuing in the same tradition, the Trident Group of Institutions has come into the engineering and management education scenario in the year 2008. As per Sh. B. P. Singh, chairman of this esteemed group, one who is a civil engineer himself, “ours is one of the best campuses in the entire education circuit within these realms.” Professor (Dr.) Vikas Singh, Director General, Trident Group, claims assertively, that “cent percent of placements were procured for our MBA students in previous batches which have passed out and this clearly certifies the acceptance of our efforts by the industry.” The college, which is already home to around 700 students, is targeting to cross the 2,000 students threshold within the next three years. Along with this, is the plan underway to set up facilities for introducing M Tech., B.Ed., and M.Ed courses. The success mantra, in the words of the higher-ups here, is “hardwork by faculty and students themselves, and co-operation of the top management.” Incidentally, B.Tech. (Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, among others), from the faculty of engineering, and MBA (human resources, marketing, finance, information technology et al) from the faculty of management, are the streams preferred at Trident. Run primarily by a clutch of IITians and well-established industrialists, this college provides admissions on the basis of ranking within the UPSEE, AIEEE, CMAT, GMAT, and CAT scores, in addition to the marks in the qualifying entrance exams. Opportunities for second year lateral entry are also on the platter for students like diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates. Furthermore, direct admissions are also up for takes under the management quota in keeping with the university guidelines. All programmes at Trident are approved by AICTE, ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, and affiliated to the Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. This Ghaziabad-based centre of learning sends out a loud signal to its abiders that “set your goal high and try to achieve it during the course tenure. One should be devoted to studies during the period of college education.” Structured around an arena of 13 acres of scenic greens, this campus is wellequipped to earn plaudits of the one of most-vied for institutes of the NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh region. Housed within the complex is a library with over 8,000 books, several cultural and hobby clubs, a spacious seminar room, big-size workshops, and a separate Wi-Fi hostel with highclass messing facilities for both boys and girls. A permanent faculty with about 50 staffers from IIT, NIT, BHU, DTU, and Allahabad University, and air-conditioned laboratories, among other characteristics, mark the further foray of Trident into the shores of world class education systems within India. In addition, to supplement and fortify the overall ambience, is the futuristic vision of “our motto is pursue excellence, through commitment and involvement. The state-of-the-art infrastructure and outstanding teaching levels are the basis of our dream.” For our country, poised on the edge of widescale migration of students to countries abroad for higher education, such an epithet is akin to sounds of music for the soul.
