The Navratna CPSE, NBCC (India) Ltd. organized a Strategic Conference on upcoming mega-value Redevelopment Projects recently at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Led by NBCC, the Conference had day-long interactions, exchange of ideas and suggestions amongst invitee Consultants and Architects with regard to Efficient, Swift and Hassle free implementation of upcoming Redevelopment Projects. The participants also discussed ways of accelerating the projects without compromising on quality and keeping environment sustainability as topmost priority. The Strategic Conference was moderated by Directors and Senior Officers of NBCC and was attended by more than 100 Consultants and Architects. Participating companies included Larsen and Toubro, Chapman Taylor, Shapoorji Pallonji Co. Ltd. and other renowned stakeholders in the field, who shared their unique insights on a host of issues including Urban Planning and Architecture, Statutory Clearances and approvals, Contracting Modalities- Design & Build / Turnkey etc.
NBCC Ties up with Hungarian Company to Indigenise Non-Tectonic
Technology for Mass Housing Projects
NBCC, State-owned Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of Urban Development, has today signed an MoU with an Hungarian Company, M/s Gremound Engineering Ltd., for partnership in introducing new construction technology in India for implementation of Mass Housing Projects in the country. Graced by Mr. Peter Szijjarto, Hon'ble Minister of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Govt. of Hungary and Dr.Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairmancum-Managing Director, NBCC (India) Ltd., the MoU was signed by Mr. Rajendra-Chaudhari, Director (Commercial), on behalf of NBCC and Mr. Laszlo Farkas, Managing Director, Gremound, on behalf of their Company. Ambassador of Hungary to India; Deputy State Secretary; Ministerial Commissioner of the Govt. of Hungary; Directors and Senior Executives of NBCC and Gremound were also present on the occasion. The new construction technology named Non-Tectonic System, has been developed by Gremound and is designed to build liveable houses in Mass quantities at extra speed, through setting up of a factory that would produce modules, suitable for building housing units of any category and shape. The Gremound Non-Tectonic System is based on two fundamental technologies called GYPSUM TECHNOLOGY & CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY. Gremound has a unique concrete technology that uses special recipe for faster construction of Mass Housing Projects. In fact, one factory set up for the purpose is able to produce 10,000 housing units per year. NBCC's partnering with Gremound for bringing in the NonTectonic Technology System in India would open up a huge opportunity for the Company in its participation in the Government's 'Housing for all by 2022' initiative, since the application of the technology shall make the construction faster, cost effective and qualitatively superior.
NBCC Observes Swachhta Pakhwada
As a part of Swachh Bharat Mission of Govt. of India, NBCC observed Swachhta Pakhwada from 16 June to 30 June 2016. In gracious presence of Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, Swachhta Pledge was administrated to employees of the company at Corporate Office, New Delhi, by Director (Projects). The event was
also graced by Chief Vigilance Officer. Subsequent to the Pledge Ceremony, CMD, Directors, CVO and the Officers and employees of the company also participated in cleaning activities of the office campus to reiterate their commitment to cleanliness campaign.
NBCC Celebrated International Yoga Day
On the occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June 2016, NBCC, the State-owned Navratna CPSU, organized Yoga Sessions and Seminars at its Corporate Office and the offices across the country. At Corporate Office in New Delhi, Yoga Sessions were organized in the morning under the trained Yoga Teacher invited from Morarji Desai Institute of Yoga, New Delhi. Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Senior Executives and the Employees of the Company attended the sessions and performed various Yogasanas. A seminar on "Meditation as Medicine" was also organized on the occasion later and was inaugurated by CMD of the Company. The invited faculty, Shri B. K. Pius, Director, Prajapita Brhama Kumaris Ishwaiya Vishwa Vidyalaya (PBKIVV), New Delhi, conducted the Seminar who dwelt at length emphasizing the importance of meditation in daily life and the significant role that yoga & meditation can play for stress management, development of positive attitude. More than 50 officials including the top management representatives attended the programme who found it very enriching and enabler in addressing the challenges of current life-style issues and its management through daily practice of meditation.
NBCC to Develop India Habitat Centre like Centers in Other Metro Cities
NBCC (India) Limited and India Habitat Centre ( IHC) have signed MoU for development of integrated Office Complex and Hubs for Social & Cultural activities in various metro cities of the country. The land for the same shall be provided by the interested State Governments on concessional rates. As per MoU signed on June 22, 2016 between Shri Anoop Kumar Mittal, CMD, NBCC and Shri Rakesh Kacker, Director, IHC, NBCC, a pioneer construction Navratna PSU will develop such state-of-art centres which shall have facilities like Institutions, Conference Halls, Convention Centre, Auditorium, Health Centre, Food Courts, Banquet Hall, and Guest Houses etc. in the style of Delhi IHC. The model to be adopted by NBCC for development of such Centres shall be on self-sustaining basis. In the initiative, IHC will lend its branding apart from technical knowhow for development, execution and post construction management of the properties whereas NBCC shall be responsible for Designing, Engineering and Development of the Centres. Initially, the focus for development of such IHCs shall be in Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal and Amravati.
