The Navratna CPSE, NBCC (In­dia) Ltd. or­ga­nized a Strate­gic Con­fer­ence on up­com­ing mega-value Rede­vel­op­ment Projects re­cently at In­dia Habi­tat Cen­tre, New Delhi. Led by NBCC, the Con­fer­ence had day-long in­ter­ac­tions, ex­change of ideas and sug­ges­tions amongst in­vi­tee Con­sul­tants and Ar­chi­tects with re­gard to Ef­fi­cient, Swift and Hassle free im­ple­men­ta­tion of up­com­ing Rede­vel­op­ment Projects. The par­tic­i­pants also dis­cussed ways of ac­cel­er­at­ing the projects with­out com­pro­mis­ing on qual­ity and keep­ing en­vi­ron­ment sus­tain­abil­ity as top­most pri­or­ity. The Strate­gic Con­fer­ence was mod­er­ated by Direc­tors and Se­nior Of­fi­cers of NBCC and was at­tended by more than 100 Con­sul­tants and Ar­chi­tects. Par­tic­i­pat­ing com­pa­nies in­cluded Larsen and Toubro, Chap­man Tay­lor, Shapoorji Pal­lonji Co. Ltd. and other renowned stake­hold­ers in the field, who shared their unique in­sights on a host of is­sues in­clud­ing Ur­ban Plan­ning and Ar­chi­tec­ture, Statu­tory Clear­ances and ap­provals, Con­tract­ing Mo­dal­i­ties- De­sign & Build / Turnkey etc.

NBCC Ties up with Hun­gar­ian Com­pany to Indi­genise Non-Tec­tonic

Tech­nol­ogy for Mass Hous­ing Projects

NBCC, State-owned Navratna CPSU un­der the Min­istry of Ur­ban De­vel­op­ment, has to­day signed an MoU with an Hun­gar­ian Com­pany, M/s Gre­mound Engi­neer­ing Ltd., for part­ner­ship in in­tro­duc­ing new con­struc­tion tech­nol­ogy in In­dia for im­ple­men­ta­tion of Mass Hous­ing Projects in the coun­try. Graced by Mr. Peter Sz­i­j­jarto, Hon'ble Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs & Trade, Govt. of Hun­gary and Dr.Anoop Ku­mar Mit­tal, Chair­man­cum-Manag­ing Direc­tor, NBCC (In­dia) Ltd., the MoU was signed by Mr. Ra­jen­dra-Chaud­hari, Direc­tor (Com­mer­cial), on be­half of NBCC and Mr. Las­zlo Farkas, Manag­ing Direc­tor, Gre­mound, on be­half of their Com­pany. Am­bas­sador of Hun­gary to In­dia; Deputy State Sec­re­tary; Min­is­te­rial Com­mis­sioner of the Govt. of Hun­gary; Direc­tors and Se­nior Ex­ec­u­tives of NBCC and Gre­mound were also present on the oc­ca­sion. The new con­struc­tion tech­nol­ogy named Non-Tec­tonic Sys­tem, has been de­vel­oped by Gre­mound and is de­signed to build live­able houses in Mass quan­ti­ties at ex­tra speed, through set­ting up of a fac­tory that would pro­duce mod­ules, suit­able for build­ing hous­ing units of any cat­e­gory and shape. The Gre­mound Non-Tec­tonic Sys­tem is based on two fun­da­men­tal tech­nolo­gies called GYPSUM TECH­NOL­OGY & CONCRETE TECH­NOL­OGY. Gre­mound has a unique concrete tech­nol­ogy that uses spe­cial recipe for faster con­struc­tion of Mass Hous­ing Projects. In fact, one fac­tory set up for the pur­pose is able to pro­duce 10,000 hous­ing units per year. NBCC's part­ner­ing with Gre­mound for bring­ing in the NonTec­tonic Tech­nol­ogy Sys­tem in In­dia would open up a huge op­por­tu­nity for the Com­pany in its par­tic­i­pa­tion in the Gov­ern­ment's 'Hous­ing for all by 2022' ini­tia­tive, since the ap­pli­ca­tion of the tech­nol­ogy shall make the con­struc­tion faster, cost ef­fec­tive and qual­i­ta­tively su­pe­rior.

NBCC Ob­serves Swach­hta Pakhwada

As a part of Swachh Bharat Mis­sion of Govt. of In­dia, NBCC ob­served Swach­hta Pakhwada from 16 June to 30 June 2016. In gra­cious pres­ence of Shri Anoop Ku­mar Mit­tal, CMD, Swach­hta Pledge was ad­min­is­trated to em­ploy­ees of the com­pany at Cor­po­rate Of­fice, New Delhi, by Direc­tor (Projects). The event was

also graced by Chief Vig­i­lance Of­fi­cer. Sub­se­quent to the Pledge Cer­e­mony, CMD, Direc­tors, CVO and the Of­fi­cers and em­ploy­ees of the com­pany also par­tic­i­pated in clean­ing ac­tiv­i­ties of the of­fice cam­pus to re­it­er­ate their com­mit­ment to clean­li­ness cam­paign.

NBCC Cel­e­brated In­ter­na­tional Yoga Day

On the oc­ca­sion of In­ter­na­tional Yoga Day on 21st June 2016, NBCC, the State-owned Navratna CPSU, or­ga­nized Yoga Ses­sions and Sem­i­nars at its Cor­po­rate Of­fice and the of­fices across the coun­try. At Cor­po­rate Of­fice in New Delhi, Yoga Ses­sions were or­ga­nized in the morn­ing un­der the trained Yoga Teacher in­vited from Mo­rarji De­sai In­sti­tute of Yoga, New Delhi. Shri Anoop Ku­mar Mit­tal, Chair­man-cum-Manag­ing Direc­tor, Se­nior Ex­ec­u­tives and the Em­ploy­ees of the Com­pany at­tended the ses­sions and per­formed var­i­ous Yo­gasanas. A sem­i­nar on "Med­i­ta­tion as Medicine" was also or­ga­nized on the oc­ca­sion later and was in­au­gu­rated by CMD of the Com­pany. The in­vited fac­ulty, Shri B. K. Pius, Direc­tor, Pra­japita Brhama Ku­maris Ish­waiya Vishwa Vidyalaya (PBKIVV), New Delhi, con­ducted the Sem­i­nar who dwelt at length em­pha­siz­ing the im­por­tance of med­i­ta­tion in daily life and the sig­nif­i­cant role that yoga & med­i­ta­tion can play for stress man­age­ment, de­vel­op­ment of pos­i­tive at­ti­tude. More than 50 of­fi­cials in­clud­ing the top man­age­ment rep­re­sen­ta­tives at­tended the pro­gramme who found it very en­rich­ing and en­abler in ad­dress­ing the chal­lenges of cur­rent life-style is­sues and its man­age­ment through daily prac­tice of med­i­ta­tion.

NBCC to De­velop In­dia Habi­tat Cen­tre like Cen­ters in Other Metro Cities

NBCC (In­dia) Limited and In­dia Habi­tat Cen­tre ( IHC) have signed MoU for de­vel­op­ment of in­te­grated Of­fice Com­plex and Hubs for So­cial & Cul­tural ac­tiv­i­ties in var­i­ous metro cities of the coun­try. The land for the same shall be pro­vided by the in­ter­ested State Govern­ments on con­ces­sional rates. As per MoU signed on June 22, 2016 be­tween Shri Anoop Ku­mar Mit­tal, CMD, NBCC and Shri Rakesh Kacker, Direc­tor, IHC, NBCC, a pi­o­neer con­struc­tion Navratna PSU will de­velop such state-of-art cen­tres which shall have fa­cil­i­ties like In­sti­tu­tions, Con­fer­ence Halls, Con­ven­tion Cen­tre, Au­di­to­rium, Health Cen­tre, Food Courts, Ban­quet Hall, and Guest Houses etc. in the style of Delhi IHC. The model to be adopted by NBCC for de­vel­op­ment of such Cen­tres shall be on self-sus­tain­ing ba­sis. In the ini­tia­tive, IHC will lend its brand­ing apart from tech­ni­cal knowhow for de­vel­op­ment, ex­e­cu­tion and post con­struc­tion man­age­ment of the prop­er­ties whereas NBCC shall be re­spon­si­ble for De­sign­ing, Engi­neer­ing and De­vel­op­ment of the Cen­tres. Ini­tially, the fo­cus for de­vel­op­ment of such IHCs shall be in Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal and Am­ra­vati.
