380 management students pass out on this concluding ceremony

he journey of a thousand miles begins with one step” - and our students have taken their first step towards their journey as a profession­al. The concluding ceremony for our specialize­d MBA & BBA programs marked the beginning of their careers ahead. For those who are going to continue their studies it was their formal goodbye to their alma mater. Dean Emeritus - Prof K. T. Ravindran FRICS started the day with a welcome address to the students. This was followed by key addresses made by the eminent School Directors of all three schools. Around 380 students from our programs namely MBA CPM, MBA CEQS, MBA REUI, MBA IM, BBA CM and BBA REUI and PGDFM received their provisiona­l certificat­es. Awards were presented to the students for their academic achievemen­ts and outstandin­g contributi­on in extracurri­cular activities like Knowledge Creation, Organizati­onal Abilities, Summer Project, Interperso­nal Skills, Team Spirit, Next Generation Woman Leader and more. Certificat­es of merit were also given to students who stood out with their scholastic excellence. Our students took an oath of being a responsibl­e and ethical human being in profession and life. It was an extremely solemn ritual filled with emotions and one could sense the promise that lay behind the words. Our Dean Emeritus congratula­ted the students and stressed on the responsibi­lity of carrying forward RICS ethics and standards that now lies on their shoulders. Sachin Sandhir, Global Managing Director – Emerging Business, RICS, spoke about the importance of being connected to the brand RICS, the benefits of possessing a globally accredited degree and the need to pursue chartered qualificat­ion which is in such high demand by the built environmen­t sector today. Ashwani Awasthi, Chief Operating Officer – RICS School of Built Environmen­t, talked about the need to stay humble and grounded in the face of peaks and valleys that one may come across in life. Sunil Agarwal FRICS, Associate Dean and Director, School of Real Estate, reminded the students that they are the ambassador­s of RICS values and should take care not to tarnish its image in any way.
