Chairman, Sahasra Group of Companies

‘Millennium’, the Sanskrit connotation of ‘Sahasra’ well identifies the existence and market presence of Sahasra Group of Companies. The electronic industry in India was stagnant for some time, but the current situation speaks volumes about its boom! Sahasra Group has been contributing to India’s growth in the electronics industry segment since 2000. The ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, ISO 18001:2007, ISO/ TS 16949:2009, ANSI ESD S20.202014, and Sony Green Partner certified group provides end-to-end electronic solutions from design to manufacturing and distribution. “We are amongst the top three players in India in terms of quality. Our key focus since our start has been directed towards maintaining superlative quality in line with international standards. Given our large export base, we have constantly tried to evolve ourselves geographically,” emphasizes the dynamic Mr.Amrit Manwani, Chairman. The founding of Sahasra Group in 2000 is rooted to the establishment of Info Power Technologies Limited in 1990 involving an investment of Rs. 5.5 crore. Amrit Manwani, a graduate from IIT Kanpur and an MBA from FMS, was the brainchild behind the naissance of both the industrial identities. A family owned but professionally run business ! Prior to starting his entrepreneurial venture, Mr. Manwani worked for L&T and GE. Growing at an average rate of 30%, the group generated a turnover of Rs. 250 crore (both domestic and international) last fiscal. This financial year, Mr. Manwani is envisaging the generation of a mind boggling Rs. 280 crore!

• PCB’s • PCB Assemblies • Memory Products • LED Lights “We have a factory at Rwanda, Africa spread over an area of 8800 sqm. At the Rwanda unit, we manufacture all types of LED lights. 3 factories in India including 2 in the SEZ constitute our infrastructural strength. All manufacturing units are equipped with advanced machines and in-house testing labs accoutered with testing instruments and facilities. Most of the machines have been imported from Japan, Germany, USA and few from Taiwan” says the charismatic Mr. Varun Manwani, Director. An Economics Hons graduate from Delhi University, he joined the group in 2001. He looks after the operations of the group.
