Things au­to­mat­i­cally seem to work out when it is all in the fam­ily. JMC Au­to­mo­tive Com­po­nents Pvt. Ltd. is one such en­ter­prise which is run by Mr. R. P. Arora and Mrs. Sapna Arora. Founded by Mr. R. P. Arora in 1997, this com­pany is pri­mar­ily en­gaged in sheet me­tal & ma­chined turned parts, plas­tic moulded parts, tubu­lar com­po­nents, car floor mats, fabricated com­po­nents, wiper blades and au­to­mo­tive horns. JMC Au­to­mo­tive Com­po­nents, which is an OEM man­u­fac­turer, has three plants. The prod­ucts are catered for the two-wheeler, three wheeler, four wheeler and com­mer­cial ve­hi­cle seg­ment. The turnover of this man­u­fac­tur­ing en­tity in the year of its in­cep­tion was Rs 14 lakh and it took off with a cap­i­tal in­vest­ment of Rs. five lakh. JMC Au­to­mo­tive is also in­volved in ex­ports to coun­tries in the African con­ti­nent, Bangladesh and Nepal and it grosses about Rs 30 lakh via this mode. The group turnover for 2016-17 was Rs 35 crore, of which JMC Au­to­mo­tive Com­po­nents logged in Rs. 24 crore. This fig­ure read as Rs 21 crore in 2015-16. The av­er­age growth rate in­crease in these gross­ings is about 20 to 25 per­cent each year. The com­pany hopes to achieve about Rs 100 crore by 2019-2020. It has the ISO: 2015 certifications for its three units. The main­line clients for this firm are Fiem In­dus­tries, Sand­har Au­to­mo­tive Tech­nolo­gies Ltd., Var­roc Poly­mers Pvt. Ltd., Sam­vard­hana Mother­son Auto Sys­tem Pvt. Ltd., Lu­cas In­dian Ser­vices Ltd., Lu­max Auto Tech­nolo­gies Ltd., The com­pany logs in a client re­ten­tion rate of about 90 per­cent due to timely de­liv­ery of qual­ity prod­ucts. Arora, who is a qual­i­fied me­chan­i­cal en­gi­neer, has a team of about six­teen ded­i­cated to re­search and de­vel­op­ment. The R&D setup com­prises a tool room and test­ing lab­o­ra­tory and the com­pany in­vests about three per­cent of its turnover for this pur­pose every year. The to­tal em­ployee strength is about one hun­dred. They log in a re­ten­tion rate of close to 90 per­cent for its work­force. The main rea­son for em­ploy­ees choos­ing to stay on is the fil­ial at­mos­phere which the units have and also the fa­cil­i­ties which are pro­vided to them. 80 per­cent of the ma­chines used for man­u­fac­tur­ing are im­ported from Tai­wan. The USP of this com­pany is com­pet­i­tive pric­ing of­fered and the qual­ity con­scious­ness which is char­ac­ter­is­tic of all the prod­ucts from here. The main vi­sion which is cur­rently fu­elling up all work pro­cesses at JMC Au­to­mo­tive Com­po­nents is a soon-to-be ex­pan­sion in car floor, dash board & trunk mats seg­ment. Also in­creas­ing its ex­ports quo­tient is an­other plan on the anvil. The first prod­uct from this man­u­fac­tur­ing hub, the mir­ror rods, are the ones for which it is the largest man­u­fac­turer as well. Arora gives full credit to the re­la­tions he has forged in the au­to­mo­tive in­dus­try and client sat­is­fac­tion as the credit points for his suc­cess. With an ethos which be­speaks good work all over, the JMC Au­to­mo­tive score card is all set to ring in big­ger prof­its and rev­enues.
