Being at the top of your game is an incredible achievement. Be it any field, it is noteworthy and commendable. Such is the way in which things stand at Chahar Security & Intelligence Services Ltd. Founded in 1996 by Lt. Col. Diwan Singh Chahar, the base of this company was shifted to New Delhi in 2005. This business entity, which is primarily engaged in housekeeping and security, was converted into a public unit in 1997. It has branches in Haryana (Sohna Road in Gurgaon), Greater Noida, and Bhiwadi in Rajasthan. Teed off with an initial investment of Rs five lakh, the turnover of this company this year was Rs 5.5 crore. Chahar Security & Intelligence Services Ltd. has the ISO 9001: 2015 certification and is equipped with a training center in Bhiwadi (49 acres). This has about five to six trainers and a capacity for training about 200 personnel including providing food and accommodation. The company has a staff strength comprising 300 guards and about twenty people as its office staff. Says Chahar, “we have recorded an employee retention of about 85 percent since the past five years. We also provide ESI, PF, welfare funds, bonus and free uniforms to guards.” This enterprising chieftan believes “in working with honesty, and providing employment and re-employment opportunities for people from both rural and urban areas.” Also, the entire scorecard of the success of the company also goes to “teamwork, and working with principles,” is what Chahar strongly opines. He also works with a dedicated focus and concentration in his tasks and routine. The vision for the future includes starting a new project in Geotech Gaur City, Noida. This company has a wide clientele base which includes private and public undertakings, educational institutions, hotels, and hospitals. The entire gamut of services provided by this firm include guarding and personal security, detection of bombs and mines, fire fighting work, first aid and evacuation of casualties, crowd control and queue management, security audit/consultancy and investigation, vehicle parking & traffic at hotels and industrial area, employee verification, loss prevention & inventory control, office gate duties and phone handling, reception and customer relations, and mobile patrolling of pipelines and roads. The system of selection includes recruiting staffers from the defence forces, exparamilitary forces, ex-policemen and civilians. The mission statement of this company is to provide comprehensive and reliable services to the ultimate satisfaction of all its clients. Also, it is to assemble dependable information which the clients can make use of for furthering their interests. The clientele list includes names like Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. - Kanpur and Jabalpur, Indian Oil Corporation of India, Hindustan Petroleum, Hotel Ashok in Agra, Hotel Trident in Agra, The Lucknow Civil Airport, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. in Kanpur and in Agra, Hindustan Copper Ltd., and Dena Bank in Bhopal. When one is talking of such corporations and organizations in their client kitty, it sure speaks volumes of the professionalism and sincerity of work which the concerned company has. And Chahar Security & Intelligence Services Ltd. surely has this one quality up its sleeve in an abundant measure and quota.
