“Transforming India through agriculture” this is the mantra we chant here in Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. and work towards achieving this goal. This Group is listed in the “200 Best under A Billion Companies under Asia Pacific” by internationally acclaimed Forbes Magazine. Another feather in the Group’s wing was bestowed recently with recognizing it as one of the “Great Place of Work for 2018-19” period. The company is involved in manufacturing a large spectrum of agro-chemicals which includes range of herbicides, weedicides, insecticides, fungicides, plant growth regulators and stimulants in different formats like liquid, dust, powder and granules. Dhanuka, which began its professional foray in 1980, has three production facilities, each one located in Keswana (Rajasthan), Sanand (Gujarat) and Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir). For product line-up, Dhanuka has collaboration with four US-based and six Japan-based companies. In 2008 production work with Japanese technology was commenced in Dhanuka after the partnership with Otsuka Chemicals. The group with its network of over 32 branch offices, 7200 distributors, around 75, 000 dealers and more than 1000 techno –commercial staff, supported by a strong R&D division caters to about 10 million Indian farmers and has speciality to introduce new molecules and track record of twenty such molecules. The Dhanuka Agritech Research Centre, as a matter of pride, is recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The thrust is to market quality and eco-friendly agro-chemicals being suitable to ICM/IPM, safer to human beings, beneficial to fauna and flora

Dhanuka Agritech comes within the club of the top five agrochemical firms of the country. It has over and above 200 registrations and 500 active SKUs which give it a market penetration worth applauding. The company operates on the strength of about thirty branch offices spread all across the length and the breadth of the country and has forty-eight active warehouses. It is a matter of pride that Dhanuka products are preferred by progressive farmers from all over India. All its units are armed with a production capacity of 10,000 KL liquid, 4900 MT powder, 21,000 MT granules and 5,000 MT dust. Targa Super is the most popular agro chemical of this house and comes from a technical collaboration with Nissan Chemical Industries Ltd. of Japan. Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. has more than 1200 employees and researchers who continuously evaluate the present and emerging data and products for the effectiveness in accordance with the needs and requirements of various farmers. Dhanuka has made a name for itself as a onestop solution provider for a diverse range of crops, regions, and seasons. One more feather in its cap is that this company was the first to launch miticides in India that are aimed at mites which ravage the crop outputs.Interestingly, after taking over Northern Minerals Pvt. Ltd. in the year of its inception, Dhanuka rang in an average turnover of Rs 17 lakh. In 2017-18, the company has closed the year with a grossing of Rs 972 crore. The company has managed to reach the pinnacle of its success due to all out efforts taken by our incredible leaders Mr R.G Agarwal (the group chairman) and Mr M.K Dhanuka (Managing Director). The company has a reach of encompassing ten millions of farmers and manages to touch PAN India through its diverse marketing alliances in major states of the country. A network spanning more than 7,500 distributorsdeals with over 80,000 retailers.

Incidentally, when it comes to brand sales. Dhanuka also offers services right from sowing to harvest training for which it has over and above 1500 contract-based nodes. Dhanuka is also involved in conducting training programs for farmers by providing technical information and other such nuances. In addition to this the firm also has mobile soil-testing laboratories in Public Private Partnership. One such hallmark achievement of this company is the launch of a highly-acclaimed herbicide, Sempra from Nissan Chemical Industries Ltd. of Japan. The product was launched in India for the first time and this chemical is meant for controlling weeds (Cyprus Rotundus) in Sugarcane. The best part of this product is that it requiresvery less dosage for control. Incidentally, Group Chairman of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd., Mr. RG Aggarwal believes that our best professional period was in 1992 when we first shook hands with E.I.Dupont. The vision and goal which powers up all our action is to become 2000 crore turnover within the next five years. The entire credit for the resounding success story of the company goes to the honest commitment towards customer services and quality assurance of products. The top management sticks resolutely to the philosophy of working towards a longterm relationship with all its associates. For the new entrants in the business Mr.Aggarwal suggests that “they should not be misguided by rapacity and should never compromise in quality assurance. Should take certification from authorised good NABC and approved laboratory

because we are dealing with medicines of plants. When human become ill he takes medicine for cure similarly plants also need medicines to cure their diseases and it’s our moral duty to give them responsible cure through our quality products because these plants becomes fit for human consumption in later stage. One more point to really drive home the good ethos is the fact that the company is always on the lookout to unveil and bring in newer nuances of technology into its focus point. Dhanuka has more than 40 years of experience in agrochemical sector and this includes a total comprehension of relationship building, customized applications, distribution throughout India and proper marketing approach. Interestingly, revenues from its various partners amount to about fortythree percent of the total income of this company. During India Chem 2016

international conference organized by FICCI, company’s group chairman Mr. R G Aggarwal was applauded for distinguished contribution in Indian agrochemicals industry, also company was awarded with Assochem ‘water excellence management awards 2018’ in the category of, excellence in the field of water education and awareness. Dhanuka got the agriculture leadership award-2009, corporate award – International Conference on Agrochemicals – 2009, National Productivity Council Award – 2004, the Amar Ujala CSR awards for the outstanding work in save water, education, health, and women empowerment; the title of 70 most trusted power brands – 201718, awarded for the 25 greatest value creators by “The Fortune India Next 500 universe” and

“commendable work for changing public perception” award by FICCI Dhanuka makes it a point to organize several programs for the welfare of the farmer’s community. One such programs was ‘KrishakGoshthi’ organized on the occasion of one hundred years of Mahatama Gandhi’s first movement against the British Raj on April 17, 2017 at Motihari, East Champaran. A similar program was held in Bikaner on April 24, 2018. Likewise a press meet for doubling farmers’ incomewas done in Bhopal on May 16, 2018. A ‘Krishak Sammelan for farmers was organized in

village Ghuman, Punjab, on 9 June 2018 as well. Dhanuka Agritech has surely been able to carve a name for itself in the entire orb of Indian agrochemicals. For this, it has taken years of toil, sweat and a tremendous amount of sincerity, integrity, and sheer grit. No doubt, the company has been receiving plaudits aplenty for its contribution in the field. For the times to come, with the aces up its sleeves of the past, present and future all lined up, there is a surety that this company will continue to emblazon its name across the agricultural skies in its niche segments which is really heartening news for all those who look towards a better agricultural solutions for their products.
