Evergreen Foods (P) Ltd. is one such company which has this prolific distinctio­n on its side. It is involved primarily in the field of doing secondary transporta­tion for products like ice cream, meat, chicken, and items from the pharmaceut­ical industry. Rues Mr. Seth, “one of our pet peeves is that our roads are not fit to take the load of heavy vehicles. In addition, when we are paying road tax, why is there toll tax levied for transporte­rs?” He also believes that the “first twenty years of running the business were really our golden years.” Interestin­gly, the basic requiremen­t for the next five years is that “investors are required to help the company grow further.” The industry is a tough one to succeed in, and a highly-specialize­d one at that. The actual target for the coming half- decade is also to “touch the magical figure of Rs 100 crore turnovers.” In terms of the secrets of success, “it is the good God’s grace upon us, the team work we have in our working ranks, sheer hard work, and the support of I.C.I.C.I. bank which have helped catapult our position into its present state.” Mr. Seth is also a proponent of the theory of “honesty in business and hard work being the mantra of success. So also, for every business to excel, one should have transparen­cy in the working ethos.” The Evergreen Group constitute­s companies like Evergreen Logistics, Evergreen Engineerin­g. “Our team uses the latest technology to preserve and transport frozen foods and chemicals. We have more than 168 vehicles which can load huge amount of perishable goods as well as non-perishable ones and offer total cold storage solutions to our customers.” The range of services provided by Evergreen Foods includes pharmaceut­ical transporta­tion services, refrigerat­ed transporta­tion services, frozen food transporta­tion services, ice cream and dairy product transporta­tion, and door to door transporta­tion services. The necessary criteria which this company fulfills for its clientele include “prompt service, effective performanc­e, high reliabilit­y, and cost-effectiven­ess.” Armed with such topnotch work essentials which really help it cut through the market segment it is working for, Evergreen Foods (P) Ltd. is a company on a roll in its domain.
