Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport (IATA: SVO, ICAO: UUEE) is one of the three international airports that serves Moscow (other airports areDomodedovo and Vnukovo). Currently is the busiest one. Sheremetyevo Airport is located in Khimki, 29 km northwest of Moscow, Russia. Sheremetyevo Airport is a hub for passenger operations of Aeroflot, and also a hub Nordwind Airlines and RoyalFlight. The most popular foreign destinations in 2016 were Antalya, Paris, Prague, Beijing and Amsterdam. Sheremetyevo is the largest Russian airport in terms of handling regular international flights In 2016, more than 31.5 million passengers used the Airport (+0.1% growth and a new record), 18 million approximately of these being international passengers. Is the busiest airport in Moscow and Russia.
Terminals
Sheremetyevo has four operating terminals named C - D - E - F. Terminal A and B are not currently used for regular passenger flights.
North Sector - Terminal C
The Terminal was opened in the spring of 2007 and has a capacity of 5 million passengers per year. The terminal tends to handle flights of CIS carriers and charter airlines. It has 30 check-in counters, 6 air bridges. There is a shuttle bus service to terminal E.
Future developments
There is a development plan called
"Northern Terminal Complex" to build a new Terminal B, interterminal tunnels to the south sector, railway station and a third runway.
South Terminal Complex
There are three terminals in the south sector acting as a single south terminal complex, connected by pedestrian walkways.
Terminal D
Was opened in november 2009 and is a hub for Aeroflot Airlines and its SkyTeam partners. It has a capacity of 12 million passengers per year. The terminal has 22 jetways.
Terminal E
Was opened in 2010 connecting terminals D and F. The terminal is used for international flights, primarily by Aeroflot and SkyTeam partners. There is a Transit Hotel called V-Express.
Terminal F
Opened in 1980 for the Olympic Games, formerly known as Sheremetyevo-2. The terminal was remodeled in 2009.
Inter Terminal Transport
Terminals D, E, F are interconnected by walking galleries. Free shuttle bus for passengers runs between the South terminal complex and C terminal.

Transportation
Rail: The service is called "Aeroexpress", and are high-speed trains that depart from Sheremetyevo Airport to Belorussky Railway station every 20–30 minutes. Travel time is 30–40 minutes. The rail terminal is located in front of Terminal F, there are shuttle bus services from Terminals B and C. Buses: There are public buses and shuttle buses that connect the airport with the following metro stations: Rechnoy vokzal, Planernaya and Leninsky prospekt. Taxi: There is a taxi information desk in the terminals where you can order official taxi.
