Bank of Baroda organizes Inter Bank Hindi Seminar

Bank of Baroda, under joint aegis of Microsoft, organized an Inter Bank Hindi seminar on “Importance and Challenges of Language in Digital Era” at its Corporate Office, Mumbai. The seminar was attended by Executives, OL Officers and IT Officers of all the Banks and Financial Institutes at Mumbai. Programme was inaugurate­d with the lighting of lamp by Shri Ashok Kumar Garg, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda. Dr. Ved Prakash Dubey, Joint Director (Official Language), Dept. of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest of the programme. Shri Balendu Sharma ‘Dadheech’, Senior Production Marketing Manager, Microsoft was present on the occasion as Chief Speaker. Dr. Jawahar Karnavat, Deputy General Manager (OL) welcomed the guests present in the seminar. Shri S. S. Ghag, General Manager (IT) was moderator of the subject of seminar. While addressing, Chief Speaker Shri Balendu Sharma said that changes are happening at a rapid pace in this digital era and those days are not very far when technology will be so efficient that no one would require to learn languages other than their mother tongue. With the help of technology, readers will be able to read the books of any language and will be able to communicat­e as well. Thus, no language will have any threat and all such changes will be completed probably by 2030. The seminar was also addressed by Dr. Ramakant Gupta, General Manager (OL), Reserve Bank of India. The function was conducted by Shri Punit Kumar Mishra, Chief Manager (OL) and was concluded with vote of thanks by Shri Jai Prakash Sonkhia.
