744 NGOs under scanner for FCRA violations

New Delhi Of the 33,000 non-government organisations registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, sources said, at least 744 are on the government's watchlist for alleged violation of FCRA rules and a crackdown against the erring ones will be carried out soon.
