Multiplex screens to cross 3,000 by 2019: ICRA

Mumbai According to research firm ICRA, India has 2,200 multiplex screens. This has seen a compound annual growth rate of 13.5 per cent during 2009-2016. The film exhibition industry continues to be dominated by single-screen cinemas; there are three times more such cinemas than multiplex screens.
