Shoppers Stop shuts 2 stores as it completes 25 years

Retail company Shoppers Stop on Thursday said it had closed two stores of the chain, one in Inorbit Mall in Pune and a Nirmal Lifestyle mall in Mumbai, due to lower than expected business and low profitability. Shoppers Stop has 81 stores and is celebrating its 25 years. It also said its 51 per cent subsidiary company, Hypercity Retail, had closed “Hypercity” store at Inorbit Mall in Pune.
