HGS Q2 profits up 18.5% to ~37.41 cr

Hinduja Global Services Ltd (HGS), the BPO and technology services arm of the Hinduja Group, reported a 18.5 per cent growth in second quarter profits at ~37.41 crore. Its revenue grew 15 per cent at ~905 crore. The back office provider said margins stood at 13 per cent in the quarter. HGS reported profits of ~31.56 crore on revenue of ~789 crore in the same period last year.

Partha DeSarkar, chief executive of HGS, said the topline growth was driven by robust performanc­e in healthcare vertical and offshore business.

During this quarter, the company opened a delivery centre in Philippine­s.
