HOW TO SPOT A FAKE CURRENCY NOTE

Real notes have features such as watermarks, raised printing and colour-changing ink. Here are 10 features you can check for:

Recently, a State Bank of India (SBI) ATM in Delhi allegedly dispensed fake ~2,000 notes. While the police are investigat­ing the source, SBI says it has a system to monitor the quality of notes and “the possibilit­y of fake notes from the bank’s ATMs is very remote”.
