Apple cuts Iran apps from store citing US sanctions

About a dozen Iran-focused apps, including Delion Foods, a meals delivery start-up, online store Digi kala, Bamilo, ane-commerce marketplac­e, and ride-hailing app Snapp, were removed from Apple’ s store on Friday. Users can still access the a pp son their phones, but can not download or update from the A pp Store. According to Nay ebie, Apple senta mail to Iranian entreprene­urs about the removal of apps, citing trade sanctions enforced by the US Office of Foreign Asset Control.
