Three Vedanta Sesa Goa officials booked for engineer’s death


The Goa Police on Tuesday booked three senior officials of Vedanta Sesa Goa under charge of endangerin­g life of others, two days after a 31-yearold engineer died after getting trapped in the conveyor belt at the company's Met Coke division. Umesh Pradhan died while he was attending some maintenanc­e work at the belt carrying coal at the plant, located at Amona, 30 km from Panaji, on Sunday. The Bicholim Police filed an FIR against Dinesh Kamat (shift incharge), Adhip Pai (maintenanc­e head) and Navnath Vhatte (head, Value Added Business).
