MP to help farmers in hiring farm equipment

After announcing a price deficit scheme, Madhya Pradesh, which saw protest over declining farm prices, decided to set up custom hiring centres for food processing at each block headquarters. Under the scheme, machines are hired by farmers at rates approved by the state government. The state Cabinet gave in-principle approval for these centres for primary food processing. Last week, the Cabinet had cleared price deficit scheme to help those farmers selling their produce below minimum support price.
