One week since a three-yearold Indian girl vanished during an alleged incident of bizarre late-night punishment meted out by her Indian foster father, police in Richardson are yet to find a clue as to what happened to her, US media reports said on Sunday. Sherin Mathews vanished last Saturday after her father Wesley Mathews told police he left her outside at 3 a.m. as punishment for not drinking her milk. Mathews claimed that when he went to check on her around 3:15 am she was gone. REUTERS< The death toll from a truck-bomb blast in Somalia’s capital climbed to more than 200 people, as the African Union urged greater international backing for the government’s fight against extremists. The explosion, the nation’s deadliest single attack, killed at least 231 people and injured 275 others, the Associated Press reported, citing Senator Abshir Abdi Ahmed. The blast occurred Saturday in Mogadishu’s busy central K5 Junction area, damaging buildings including the popular Safari Hotel, according to witnesses. BLOOMBERG<
