HDFC to sell 6.3% in CAMS for ~210 crore

HDFC has decided to sell 6.3 per cent stake in Computer Age Management Services (CAMS), a share registrar and transfer agent, for ~209.5 crore. The stake will be sold to Great Terrain Investment, an affiliate of private equity major Warburg Pincus group. Following the stake sale, HDFC will continue to hold 4.8 per cent stake in CAMS. HDFC Bank too would be selling part of its holding in CAMS to Great Terrain at the same price, HDFC said in a filing. CAMS providers services to financial institutio­ns such as MFs, insurance companies, venture funds and banks.
