Liberty House enters deal for Rio’s smelter buy

At a time when UK-based Liberty House is looking to have sizeable presence in India’s steel market, it continues to make buys in other geographies. It said on Friday it had sealed committed financing deal to buy Europe’s largest smelter at Dunkerque in France. GFG Alliance has announced its entry into a committed financing agreement with a syndicate of global banks for the purchase of Aluminium Dunkerque, Europe’s largest aluminium smelter from Rio Tinto.
