SBI DONATES TO STREET VENDORS UNDER PM SVANIDHI SCHEME

State Bank of India, Thiruvarur Branch organized a Loan Mela to extend financial assistance to Street Vendors. It was inaugurated by Amit Verma, General Manager, Sbi,chennai Circle and attended by Sivakumar, DGM, Tiruchirappalli, V Prabhakar, RM Nagapattinam and senior functionaries of the Bank. Loan was disbursed to about 200 beneficiaries during the mela. Verma deliberated that State Bank of India remains hugely committed to the society in the fight against COVID and has been trying to ameliorate the impact of the pandemic on people whose livelihood have been affected. PM Svanidhi (Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor's Atmanirbhar Nidhi) is one such initiative launched by the Government and SBI has reached out to the street vendors in a big way.
