PLI scheme guidelines for white goods revised

The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has offered relaxations in certain criteria to encourage industry participation in the production-linked incentive scheme. These include flexibility to meet two-fifths of net incremental sales of eligible products from sales to sectors other than ACS and LED lights. However, a company availing of benefits of the scheme will have to refund incentives, along with interest, if it is not able to meet the committed investment and there is an exit midway.
