Internet users up nearly 4% in Q4 of FY21, shows Trai data

The total number of Internet users in the country increased from 795.18 million at the end of December 2020 to 825.30 million at the end of March 2021, registering a quarterly growth of 3.79 per cent, data by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) showed on Friday. Out of 825.30 million Internet subscribers, the number of wired Internet subscribers was 26 million and the number of wireless Internet subscribers stood at 799.31 million. The Internet subscriber base comprises Broadband Internet subscribers of 778.09 million and Narrowband Internet subscribers of 47.21 million.
