Pakistan plans to roll out 5G internet in 2023

Pakistan is planning to roll out the most advanced 5G internet in 2023 with the market size of the country's telecom industry growing to $16.9 billion after attracting $1.2 billion in foreign direct investments in the last three years, according to a media report on Tuesday. In a recent presentation to Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom has highlighted that for future digitisation and new technologies such as 5G, projects have been launched for “deep fiberisation" by the Universal Service Fund (USF), the newspaper reported.
