Strong market debut for Ami and Vijaya

Shares of Ami Organics and Vijaya Diagnostic rallied 53 per cent and 17 per cent, respective­ly, over their issue price on their stock market debut on Tuesday.

Ami Organics’ stock closed at ~935, with a gain of ~325, while Vijaya Diagnostic ended the day at ~619, a gain of ~88.

Ami Organics’ initial public offering (IPO) was subscribed 65 times. Its IPO consisted of ~200 crore of fresh fundraise and ~370 crore secondary share sale. Vijaya Diagnostic, one of the largest diagnostic chains in southern India, garnered 4.5 times subscripti­on for its IPO. The IPO was entirely a secondary share sale worth ~1,894 crore.

In traded volume terms, 1.9 million shares of Ami Organics were traded at the BSE and over 11.2 million units at the NSE during the day. The company’s market capitalisa­tion was at ~3,405.23 crore on the BSE. Around 1.5 million shares of the Vijaya Diagnostic were traded at the BSE and over 22.1 million units at the NSE during the day.

Sansera Engineerin­g IPO

Sansera Engineerin­g’s IPO was subscribed 53 per cent on Tuesday, the first day of the issue. A day earlier, the auto component maker had allotted shares worth ~382 crore to anchor investors at ~744 per share. Sansera has priced its issue between ~734 and ~744 per share. Sansera’s IPO is entirely an offer for sale worth ~1,283 crore. At the topend of the price band, the company’s market cap translates to ~3,823 crore.
