HDFC Bank partners Paytm to issue co-branded credit cards

HDFC Bank, which is looking to regain its lost market share in the credit card space after the regulator lifting the embargo on issuing new cards, has partnered with Paytm to offer co-branded credit cards on the Visa platform. This collaboration is in line with the strategy it has adopted, wherein it will work closely with its alliance partners in the ecosystem, cutting across segments, to ensure that they can offer good value propositions to the partner’s database also. These credit cards will be launched in October for different customer segments.
