Italian police arrest 12 after anti-vaccine riot
Italian police on Sunday arrested 12 people including the leaders of the extreme right-wing party Forza Nuova, after clashes in Rome a day earlier over a government drive to make the Covid-19 “Green Pass’ mandatory for all workers. Clashes erupted in Rome on Saturday between anti-vaccine protesters and police forces. Prime Minister Mario Draghi condemned the violence, which also hit other cities. About 80 per cent of eligible Italians are fully vaccinated.
