Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel addressing the leading industrialists and business delegates in Mumbai, he stressed on the dominance of Gujarat as the country’s most preferred investment destination across the globe. He further added that the Government of Gujarat is aiming to attract more investments in sectors such as nextgeneration infrastructure, energy, digital network, fintech, start-up & innovation, e-vehicles, research and development, knowledge exchange, export, tourism and financial services for sustained socio-economic development. He spoke of how the summit started with the vision to invite investments in Gujarat and has as of now evolved into a platform to discuss global challenges and their solutions and emerging business opportunities. It has become a platform for networking and knowledge sharing. Gujarat has become one of the most industrialized and urbanized economies in the country and a national leader in various fields of socio-economic development. All this is contributed by a stable government and political stability which form the pillars for development of any nation or state. Speaking of our country’s noteworthy economic & social development under the able leadership of Shri. Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister said that PM’S Gati Shakti Master Plan and other schemes will fast track the growth of the nation. He stated, “I clearly believe that your confidence in Gujarat is attributed to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi's philosophy of making Gujarat as one of the leading business destinations in the world.” As Mumbai has evolved to become the financial capital of India, Gujarat has emerged as the role model of India as a manufacturing hub, automobile hub, pharma hub and MSME hub. He said to all the financial institutions, “Fintech companies and startups present here that if you have not yet come to the GIFT City of Gujarat, there is no better time to think about coming to GIFT than now.” GIFT City will offer world class infrastructure, bullion exchange facility, fintech hub, aircraft craft leasing and ship leasing business activities, international stock exchange, business cost efficiency among many other benefits under one umbrella. He gave a special mention to the Mumbai-ahmedabad high speed rail project. The project will accelerate the growth of infrastructure including other benefits such as job creation, faster transportation and pollution reduction. The aim is to develop India's Star Unicorns in Gujarat in the near future to achieve the dream of Aatmanirbhar Gujarat. He added that Gujarat has taken a firm lead and marched ahead on the mantra of Aatmanirbhar Gujarat to Aatmanirbhar Bharat. He reiterated that Gujarat has an all-inclusive, allround development ecosystem. The Chief Minister said that Gujarat is ready to welcome global & local industries/businesses seeking to relocate in the post-corona era, with various industry-friendly policies such as e-vehicle policy, solar policy etc. He invited financial institutions, fintech companies and start-ups present in the interactive meet to invest and do business in Gujarat’s GIFT City. He re-assured that Gujarat’s administration is completely committed towards fulfilling the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, which the honorable Prime Minister has adopted for socio-economic growth of hundreds of millions of citizens.
