Lloyd- BT Golf 2017 Tees Off in Style
The Lloyd- Business Today Golf tournament moves from seven to 10 cities this year, starting from Panchkula
The first leg of the LLOYD Business Today Pro-Am of Champions teed off at the picturesque Panchkula Golf Club, Panchkula, on Saturday, September 24, 2016. Set along the banks of the river Ghaggar, the golf course is spread over 135 acres. The cool winds from the mountains added to the ambience of the course. The golf course has been designed as a championship 18 Hole Golf Course and provides enough challenges both to the pros and to the weekend golfer.
Played on the Stableford format with Double Peoria handicap, the warm afternoon witnessed some great golfing action with players vying for both individual as well as team prizes. The winning team would don the mantle of ‘Chandigarh Cheetahs’.
The winning team comprising Amit Singh Rathore ( Aakansh Hospitality), Sandeep Sandhu (Team S& S), Amit Katoch (Novartis) and Lt. Col. K.J. Singh, prevailed with a combined score of 100 points.
The team comprising Sanjiv Gupta ( ValuePlus Associates), A. K.
Sharma, Col. V.K. Singh & Dr. Rajdeep Brar finished as Runners Up with 98 points.
In the Individual prizes, Sandeep Sandhu was the winner with 35 points in the 0-14 handicap category and Aneesh Kumar (Anish Arora Builder) with a super effort of 34 points was the winner amongst the 15- 24 handicap category.
Some of the other eminent golfers who participated amongst the corporate bigwigs of Chandigarh were Sant Dhiman, Proprietor, Mitoya Instruments; S.P. S. Ghai, Managing Director, Uniweld Electrodes; Ravibir Singh, Director, R Square Infosystems; Gopal Munjal, Managing Director & CEO, Ind Swift, S.P. S. Matharoo, Executive Director, Aspee Springs; Rohit Singh Dagar, Managing Director, Kalka Steels; Suneet Sehgal, Managing Director, Wipe India Automotive; Amarjit Singh Sandhu, Director, UPS International; Pankaj Chanana, Partner, Bharat Stone Crusher; Anil Sahni, Director, Weather Makers; and Vijay Kumar, Director, MVS Healthcare.
The day’s action culminated with the prize distribution ceremony followed by dinner. The winning team ‘Chandigarh Cheetahs’ also earned themselves a place in the Pro-Am National Finals to be held in Delhi in February 2017.
Guests were treated to a virtual golf simulator experience by Rohman Resources (Golf G Spot).
