Fact Check
After Facebook, Google has introduced a fact check tag in Google News to combat fake news, for which social networking sites and search engines have faced a lot of criticism recently. Google said in a blog post that the label identifies articles that include information fact-checked by news publishers and fact-checking organisations. The company launched the feature in a few countries last October, and now it will be available worldwide in all languages. However, these fact checks are not Google’s and are presented so people can make more informed judgements.
