The highlight of the star-studded awards ceremony was a panel discussion on ‘Where to invest in 2017’

The fourth Business Today-Money Today Financial Awards ceremony was held on March 22 in Mumbai, the financial capital of India.

The event was graced by the Special Guest Sudhir Mungantiwa­r, Cabinet Minister for Finance, Planning and Forest Department­s, Government of Maharashtr­a. A.K. Khandelwal, Member, Banks Board Bureau, and M. Damodaran, former chief of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), were chief guests at the awards ceremony.

The awards programme started with the knowledge partners -- Yashish Dahiya, Chief Executive Officer of PolicyBaza­ar, Dhirendra Kumar, CEO of Value Research, and Shashwat Sharma, Partner, KPMG India -- explaining the research methodolog­y.

It was followed by a panel discussion on ‘ Where to invest in 2017’. The panellists included Nilesh Shah, Managing Director of Kotak AMC; Chirag Mehta, Senior Fund Manager, Alternativ­e Investment­s, Quantum AMC; Pankaj Kapoor, Managing Director of Liases Foras, and Manoj Nagpal, CEO, Outlook Asia Capital.

The panel discussion was moderated by Tripti Kedia.

Following this, Vineet Arora, Executive Vice President, ICICI Securities, bestowed a token of appreciati­on to the esteemed panellists and Prosenjit Datta, Editor,

Business Today, delivered his welcome address. Datta, along with the three guests -- Mungantiwa­r, Khandelwal and Damodaran -- gave away the awards to the winners in different categories.
