LOGISTICS STOCKS RISE ON PROFIT BOOST HOPE

Logistics companies' shares rose as much as 6 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on November 21, a day after the government gave infrastructure status to the sector, including cold chain and warehousing facilities. It will lower the cost of capital for these companies. Gati, VRL Logistics, Arshiya and Lancer Container Lines hit 52-week highs intra- day while the S& P BSE Sensex was up only 0.31 per cent.
