CORPORATE HONCHOS COMPETE IN GOLF
On a bright Saturday afternoon, 85 golfers teed off at the Madras Gymkhana Golf Course for the Chennai leg of the LLOYD- Business Today Pro-Am. Played on Stableford format with Double Peoria handicap, the afternoon witnessed some outstanding golfing action with players competing for both individual as well as team prizes.
The day’s action culminated with the prize distribution ceremony followed by dinner. The winning team also earned themselves a place in the Pro-Am National finals to be held in Delhi.
The winning team comprising of Gangaprasad K. (Dasaprakash Group), Peter Paul (Roychinn Engineers), Varadhan S. and Venky Rajgopal (Indian Terrain Fashions) prevailed with a combined score of 104 points and were crowned the “Chennai Challengers”.
The team comprising of Venkataramana J., Venkat B., Srinivasan V. and Ms Samyuktha finished Runners Up with 101 points.
In the Individual prizes, Kanvaljit Singh Asla (CFO of ICF) was the winner with 36 points in the 0-14 handicap category; Venky Rajgopal (MD, Indian Terrain Fashions) with 38 points was the winner amongst the 15-24 handicap category.
