FACEBOOK GROWS DESPITE DATA SCANDAL

Facebook reported 2.2 billion monthly active users worldwide at the end of the first quarter (January-March

2018), up from 2.13 billion in the previous quarter, in spite of the data leak allegations regarding Cambridge Analytica that had affected millions of users. Its revenue rose 49 per cent to

$11.97 billion from a year earlier and profit grew 63 per cent to $5 billion.
