US TRADE SPATS WITH CHINA, EU HEAT UP

The US-China trade war intensifie­s as President Trump wants to draw up a list of Chinese goods worth $200 billion for an additional 10 per cent tariff. Earlier, $50 billion worth of Chinese goods were subjected to 25 per cent tariff, following which China said it would raise tariffs on $50 billion worth of U.S. exports. The EU is also taxing US goods worth $3.25 billion in response to new taxes on its aluminium and steel.
