SOCIAL MEDIA HUB LANDS IN COURT

THE SUPREME COURT has agreed to hear a petition challenging the government’s decision to create a social media communication hub on the grounds that it is the Centre’s attempt to snoop on citizens and a violation of the Right to Privacy under the Indian Constitution. The government claims the hub is to inculcate a feeling of nationalism among citizens and help it understand the impact of Centre- run schemes.
