JAPAN, EU SIGN BIGGEST BILATERAL TRADE DEAL

-

Japan and the EU have signed the world’s largest bilateral trade deal, declaring themselves the flag-bearers of free trade. It comes in the wake of the escalating trade war between China and the US and creates a trade zone that covers a third of the global economy. The pact will reduce tariffs on European wine, cheese and other food items and cut those on Japanese cars and other parts.
