Vivek Somareddy claims that over 70 per cent of Amazon’s orders are coming from Tier- II and III cities such as Kanchipuram, Secunderabad and Surat. In fact, ShopClues has reportedly been selling over 5,000 refurbished phones every month this year in Tier- II and III markets, 35 per cent higher than the average last year. “The market is seeing a lot of traction, especially from rural and small town customers. In the next five years, they might dominate the market” says Hitendra Chaturvedi, CEO, GreenDust.
