PEPSICO CEO INDRA NOOYI TO STEP DOWN
Indra Nooyi, the India-born PepsiCo CEO, will quit in October after 12 years at the helm. The company’s global operations chief Ramon Laguarta will succeed her. Nooyi, a trailblazer in many respects, took PepsiCo’s revenue from $35 billion to $63.5 billion during her tenure and focussed on a shift from sugary to healthy foods. Only 25 women CEOs, including Nooyi, are currently running S&P 500 companies.
